Sweet SpotSweet Spot

With Valentine’s Day past us and Easter just around the corner, we thought it would be interesting to see who exactly is buying all that candy. We analyzed the spending on candy in each county across the US. The total spending in the county was analyzed with the population of the county to get the average spending on candy per household each year. The map identifies the counties with the highest household candy spending averages,
the lowest household candy spending averages, as well as all those in between.

Sweet Tooth ChartThe chart represents the top ten counties with the biggest sweet tooth.

then get all of the details in the middle are the ones that are successful.

One of those details in the middle is “creating a market.” Now we all know Disney and all of its character sales with Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Winnie the Pooh, and Donald Duck (plus all of the ones that are younger than I am) and the great job
that Disney does in selling merchandise for those characters. But you should see the job that Disney is doing with a 1950’s toy…Mr. Potato Head.
