Buxton has launched a new Healthcare Opportunity Analysis for communities. This new analysis allows cities to pinpoint specific healthcare needs for their residents. Healthcare service opportunities are identified through an analysis of a community’s current healthcare service supply and demand.

“Accessible healthcare facilities are an integral part to any community,” said Charles Wetzel, president and chief operating officer of Buxton. “Through the Healthcare Opportunity Analysis we’re able to identify what specific healthcare services are missing in a community. All city leaders want to provide quality services to meet the needs of their citizens and by performing this analysis, those leaders can make sure citizens’ needs are in fact being met.”

In addition to increased quality of life, other economic development benefits include job creation, increased tax revenues and attraction of new business and industry. The economic impact of healthcare facilities back to communities can be felt through direct, indirect and induced spending. 

“Although a city might be meeting its current healthcare demand, chances are in five years that demand will have outgrown the services offered. This analysis projects growth for proactive cities looking to stay ahead of the curve,” said Wetzel.
