Buxton Hires Territory Business Manager for Growing CommunityID Division

Date: June 26, 2007
FORT WORTH, Texas – Buxton, the leader in customer analytics for the retail industry, announces Robert Belcher joining as a Territory Business Manager in Buxton’s growing CommunityID division. Belcher will work on a team that has helped communities nationwide attract retailers.

Based out of the home office in Fort Worth, Belcher will work with communities in Colorado and Arizona to help increase revenues by growing their retail sectors. Since its national rollout in 2002, CommunityID has successfully helped civic leaders in over 300 large and small cities across the United States attract appropriate retail development, which increases sales and property tax funding for the city, creates new jobs and satisfies residents’ desires to shop at home.

Belcher holds two bachelor’s degrees in business administration from Texas Tech University, one in finance and one in business administration.

“We are pleased to have Robert join our team,” says Amy Wetzel, vice president of Buxton’s CommunityID division. “His experience working with business customers and understanding their needs will benefit our CommunityID clients.”

Buxton was the first to develop a retail economic development program enabling community leaders to take advantage of the technologies used by retailers to make location decisions. Since the national roll-out of the program in 2002, more than 300 communities in over 32 states have incorporated Buxton’s program in their retail development strategy, resulting in the recruitment of over 15 million square feet of retail.
