FORT WORTH, Texas - Buxton has expanded its Consumer Packaged Goods division by hiring two industry executives. Antonio Cuza and Gary Long—in their roles as Vice President, CPGID Division—will develop new Buxton alliances with leading retailers and manufacturers of consumer products.
Cuza joins Buxton with more than 18 years of CPG sales experience, with an emphasis in category management and trade marketing . His CPG experiences include management responsibilities at Tyson Foods, General Mills and Sara Lee. Antonio most recently worked for Alberto Culver, where he was senior customer marketing manager.
Long joins Buxton with more than 25 years of executive management experience in the consumer products industry. Recently, he served as executive vice president at B&R Enterprises in Southlake. He has held senior marketing & sales executive positions in leading US companies Nabisco and Procter & Gamble; and as a principal management consultant with AT Kearney and Gemini Consulting.
Buxton’s CPGID service helps manufacturers and retailers understand their true customer profiles and precisely “who” the potential new customers are -- for each product, and at each retail store. Buxton’s clients receive a complete customer profile, including customers’ lifestyles and buying patterns. These insights drive new product development, product placement, and promotional decisions. At the other end of the packaged goods spectrum, CPDID helps retailers customize their product mix by identifying the specific goods their customers buy at a particular location. Buxton’s clients for this service include grocery, mass, drug and club retailers.
Buxton’s client list already includes many of the leading Retailers and Manufacturers in the US. A longtime leader in customer analytics technology, Buxton is committed to growing the use of customer analytics in the CPG industry, enabling it’s clients to extract tremendous value from better understanding their customers and their potential customers—for any retail store location. Manufacturers and retailers use Buxton’s CPGID service when determining store-specific product assortments, customer marketing and even new store site selection and design.
Both Long and Cuza will be based out of Buxton’s Fort Worth headquarters.
“We’re pleased to have Gary and Antonio join our CPG Division at this exciting time in the CPG industry,” says Todd Walls, executive vice president, Buxton. “With their experience and understanding of the issues in consumer packaged goods, both Gary and Antonio will be able to help our clients use this service to their best advantage.”
