Business Development Specialist

Are you eager to help drive sales and sales strategy? If so, our Business Development Specialist role could be for you. Buxton is searching for an enthusiastic go getter to join our team. In this role, you will focus on driving revenue growth by generating new business opportunities for a fast-paced, innovative company. You will manage and develop a high volume of accounts across a wide variety of industries and applications by leveraging prospecting techniques as well as product, service, industry and workflow knowledge. You will work with technical end users and key purchasing contacts and create new opportunities so the sales representatives can achieve individual and/or team specific goals.

What you'll be doing:

  • Achieving or exceeding monthly targets of qualified opportunities and other activity requirements
  • Fully qualifying marketing and sales leads and support prospecting initiatives and campaigns assigned
  • Successfully pursuing new customers through outbound prospecting strategies
  • Prioritizing and managing the lead queue volume effectively to maximize new sales opportunities
  • Assigning qualified opportunities to appropriate sales representatives by capturing all relevant customer information and sales activities completely into the CRM system to advance the sales cycle
  • Collaborating with peers and sales representatives to ensure customer responsiveness and attainment of goals
  • Leveraging internal resources to develop and expand your lead qualification skills 

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience identifying high-potential accounts and prospecting through outbound sales and/or marketing efforts
  • Highly motivated attitude
  • Ability to work independent of day-to-day supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Enthusiastic and team-oriented personality
