Buxton is seeking a professional sales consultant to be responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through close in an assigned territory working directly with local governments. Focus will be on prospecting, qualifying and closing new accounts. Primary prospect targets will be Economic Development groups looking to attract retail expansion. The successful candidate will possess a ‘hunter’ mentality, be assertive, self-motivated and a self-starter who is consistently responsive and can make quick decisions under pressure.

What you bring to the table:
- 2+ years consultative, solution-based sales experience
- Ability to implement and execute prospecting strategies to identify new client opportunities
- Ability to build relationships, manage a pipeline and close
- Highly motivated and can work independent of day-to-day supervision
- Exceptional communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel 25-50%
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working with public sector / economic development groups a plus
