Buxton’s public sector solutions provide city managers, elected officials, economic developers, and various department heads with tools and analytical insights that deliver more efficient government and boost the positive impact of local economic development initiatives. As a revenue-driving representative of Buxton’s public sector division, the Territory Sales Director must be a self-starting closer who can create and maintain a significant pipeline of business. This person will be an expert at positioning business value, selling technology enabled solutions, managing complex sales cycles, and building key stakeholder relationships within public sector governmental organizations.

Requirements

Required Skills:

  • At least 2 years of software or consultative sales and/or account management experience
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the C-level executive
  • Track record of over-achieving sales targets in past positions
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience selling to Public Sector customers
  • Previous sales methodology training and CRM experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment
  • Strong computer, Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred
