This Privacy and Cookies Policy (“Privacy Policy”) relates to services provided through our website, web applications and other means (“Services”) and sets out the basis on which the Personal Data collected from you, or that you provide to Us will be processed by Us.     • Business Contact Information: We collect your business contact information when you provide a Buxton employee with your business card, create an account with Us or submit questions, queries or feedback via our website, register for a webinar, app, email or social media. Typically, business contact data includes your name and contact methods, such as telephone number, email address, and mailing address, and professional data includes details such as the organization with which you are affiliated, your job title, and industry.
    • Automatically-Collected Data: When you access or use our Services, we may automatically collect information about your visit from your device or browser, including:
      • Log Information: We collect log information about your use of the Services, including the type of browser you use, access times, pages viewed, your IP address and the page you visited before navigating to our Site.
      • Device Information: We may collect information about the computer or mobile device you use to access our Services, including the hardware model, operating system and version, device identifiers and mobile network information.
    • Account information: We collect your username and the password you use to access our Services.
    • Email Address: We collect your email address when you sign up to receive our newsletters, and other marketing communications. If you decide that you no longer wish to receive such newsletters or promotional e-mail from us, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions contained in each email we send to you.
    • Online Chat Information: We collect the information you post in our website chat forum.
    • Job Applicant Data: We will collect your contact and professional information, including your resume with educational and work background, when you apply for a job with Us.     • Business Contact Information, such as name, job title, professional designation, business email, phone number, address, and other information included in your social profile (such as LinkedIn), including other details about your company. Typically, we receive this information about you from a few sources, such as: (i) third-party marketing initiatives, such as events where We are a sponsor; (ii) when you consent to having your attendee badge scanned at an event; (iii) companies such as information aggregators and entities from whom We have licensed business contact information; (iv) web-scraping services; and (v) referrals.
    • Your Name and Geographic Information, such as your address and the Core Based Statistical Area in which you live.
    • Demographic Information, such as your age, race, ethnicity, gender and income characteristics.
    • Psychographic and other “Modeled” Information. Modeled information involves grouping individuals into like categories based on similarities of their known attributes. For example, based on the area in which you live, and estimates of your income, an assumption can be made about the type of automobile you are likely to lease or own. Estimates of your shopping behaviors, lifestyle statements, hobbies, interests, media preferences and demographic attributes such as possible religious preference and propensities for certain physical conditions are all examples of Modeled information that we may collect.
    • Geolocation information, such as a randomized and obscured device identifier, proximity of a device to various locations, and time and date of geolocation information capture. This information does not contain an individual's name or address, and is typically captured via Locations Services on the device and various applications that use that particular service, consistent with the device’s privacy settings.
    • Relocation Information, such as your previous address and your new address.
    • Details about you as a job candidate received from recruiters, your references, or other third parties in connection with your application.
    • User-Generated Content, such as comments and information you submit in public forums or message boards, reviews and feedback or testimonials you provide about our Services.
    • Information we collect as a service provider. We collect information provided to us by our clients in order to provide them with our services. Such information may vary depending on the client’s industry and the service that we are providing.     We or our service providers may use any of the Personal Data we collect, as described in this Privacy Policy, for the following purposes:

    • To provide the Services, including by:
      • Providing Business Contact Information to our clients in connection with our real estate and municipal consulting services;
      • Providing consumer data, including Demographic Information, Modeled Information, and Geolocation Information (randomized, obscured and or aggregated), to clients to provide insights about our client’s customers’ interests, behaviors, locality and other similarities, and to enable more relevant and personalized marketing messages; and
      • Operating our website, applications, and other digital assets.
    • To communicate with clients, prospective clients, job candidates, and others to respond to inquiries, communicate about products or services (either our own or those of third parties that we believe may be of interest to you), send newsletters and marketing materials, or to discuss an existing or prospective business relationship;

Such information can make it easier for them to contact you regarding available real estate in which your company may have an interest.
    • Recruitment Data. When you apply for a job with Us, we may share your Personal Data, with our affiliate companies for business reasons, such as human resource management and internal reporting; our service providers for business reasons, such as the recruitment platform and to manage background checks; and law enforcement or government authorities, or as otherwise necessary to comply with law.

    If you are a California resident, you may have certain rights. For information that We process as a “business” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), the CCPA may permit you to request that We:

Note that the process described below applies to our role as a business, not as a service provider to our customers.     4. D. Commercial information, including records of personal property, products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies.
    5. E. Biometric information (defined in the CCPA as an individual’s physiological, biological or behavioral characteristics, including an individual’s deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), that can be used, singly or in combination with each other or with other identifying data, to establish individual identity. Biometric information includes, but is not limited to, imagery of the iris, retina, fingerprint, face, hand, palm, vein patterns, and voice recordings, from which an identifier template, such as a faceprint, a minutiae template, or a voiceprint, can be extracted, and keystroke patterns or rhythms, gait patterns or rhythms, and sleep, health, or exercise data that contain identifying information).
    6. F. Internet or other electronic network activity information, including, but not limited to, browsing history, search history, and information regarding a consumer’s interaction with an Internet Web site, application, or advertisement.
    7. G. Geolocation data.
    8. H. Audio, electronic, visual, thermal, olfactory, or similar information.
    9. I. Professional or employment-related information.
    10. J. Education information, defined as information that is not publicly available personally identifiable information as defined in the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (20 U.S.C. section 1232g, 34 C.F.R. Part 99).

Inferences drawn from any other type(s) of Personal Information as defined by the CCPA to create a profile about a consumer reflecting the consumer’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, preferences, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes.
