CompUSA is back in growth mode, trying to re-invent themselves after almost becoming a retailer of the past. The consumer electronics retailer is focusing on the customer experience, providing their customers with an Internet-linked, in-store system that provides instant product information, allowing them to compare prices charged by rivals. Essentially, the new system helps with customers that think like online shoppers, needing that instant access to price match and compare product features.
Locally, there are two stores set to open up in the Fort Worth-area in the coming months. It will be interesting to see how CompUSA's new Retail 2.0 mentality makes it with today's changing consumer.
