Rich Powers has been in the managed care industry for nearly 30 years developing provider businesses for medicare advantage plans. Rich talks about the importance of using data and and analytics for scoring your existing portfolio of clinic sites and finding new locations that fit well with customers you're targeting. Currently Rich is working on helping a small insurance provider out of California expand their footprint into new states, and to help do that, his first call was Buxton. Rich uses Buxton as a de-facto network development tool, helping to identify weak spots in the network where they need to add more providers, better understanding and identifying customers in their target geographies, and more appropriately tailor products to those customers.
