FORT WORTH, TEXAS (January 27, 2017) — The Village of Godfrey, IL recently partnered with Fort Worth-based Buxton to support the community’s retail and restaurant attraction efforts. Buxton’s advanced consumer analytics will allow the village to identify the businesses that match the shopping and dining habits of residents and visitors in Godfrey’s trade area.
By becoming a Buxton client, Godfrey will have access to SCOUT, Buxton’s proprietary web-based real estate platform, giving local leaders information at their fingertips to analyze retail and restaurant matches and access reports on different areas of the village.
“We look forward to recruiting new retailers and restaurants that will best suit our community,” commented William Catalano, director of development for the Village of Godfrey. “Buxton’s insights into the preferences of local consumers and visitors will allow us to shape development to fit community needs.”
“Buxton is pleased to support Godfrey’s targeted retail recruitment efforts,” said Lisa McCay, senior vice president in Buxton’s city government division. “Focusing recruitment efforts on the right businesses will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Godfrey’s economic development process.”
Buxton has worked with more than 750 communities nationwide to implement retail development strategies. Other Illinois client cities include Oak Park, Vandalia, and South Beloit.
