FORT WORTH, TEXAS (December 1, 2017) – The Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau (Memphis CVB), the official destination marketing organization for the City of Memphis, has partnered with Buxton to understand the visitor population and areas visited within the city. Memphis CVB will use these insights to understand the similarities and differences in who is visiting certain key attractions in order to better cross-promote attractions in Memphis.
“Given the importance of tourism to Memphis, it’s crucial for Memphis CVB to be confident in the data on its visitors,” said Cody Taylor, director of sales for Buxton’s public sector division. “Buxton is excited to provide these insights so Memphis CVB can craft targeted marketing campaigns to reach the right potential visitors.”
By becoming a Buxton client, Memphis CVB will have access to SCOUT®, Buxton’s proprietary web-based geospatial analytics platform, giving tourism leaders data and information at their fingertips to analyze the market.
Buxton has worked with more than 800 communities across the country to integrate data into economic development strategies. Clients include Downtown Dallas, Inc.; Sevierville, TN; Maui County, HI and many others.
