FORT WORTH, TEXAS (JULY 22, 2021) — Consumer intelligence platform provider Buxton has landed two seasoned industry veterans, adding to its growing position as a leader in the CRE SaaS space. Historically known for its best-in-class analytics solutions, Buxton developed a platform tailored to the distinct needs of retailers, healthcare organizations, economic developers, hospitality brands and real estate owners; all of whom leverage Buxton’s data-driven technology to inform on opportunities and gauge potential for scale and success through the lens of consumer behavior.
Buxton continues to invest wisely, not only in the verticals that meet the ever-changing demands of the market, but also in the talent. This year alone, Buxton has hired 55 new employees across sales, marketing, product and engineering. One of the newest is 16-year CRE and SaaS veteran, Scott Jana, who most recently served as (Midwest) Regional Director at CoStar Group, and this week he joins Buxton as SVP, Head of Platform Sales. Scott began his career at Marcus & Millichap selling office and retail buildings in South Florida in 2005. In 2009, he joined the CoStar Group as an account executive in Southwest Florida, ramping up quickly on the frontline of market expansion, helping to open CoStar’s UK and Canadian operations. Scott brings a passion for the industry and a deep knowledge of the PropTech space.
Another notable hire is CRE marketing veteran, Melissa Libner, who joined Buxton in Q1 as Head of Marketing to provide thought leadership and relationships to help foster growth and partnerships at the product and sales levels. Melissa was previously Head of Broker Partnerships & Marketing for North America at Knotel. Her extensive network of real estate owners, operators and investors stems from her 12-year run with New York City’s largest commercial office REIT, SL Green Realty Corp., where she served as Director of Marketing. She was also employee number ten and the first Head of Marketing at VTS, Inc., which announced its unicorn status in 2019.
