Buxton Honored as Bronze Stevie® Award Winner in 2016 American Business Awards

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, (May 6, 2016) — The Buxton Company was named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Live Event category in The 14th Annual American Business Awards. The award recognizes Buxton’s Exhibition Display at the International Council of Shopping Centers Real Estate Convention (ICSC RECon) in Las Vegas last year.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. More than 3,400 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 20.

Along with RoxMedia, an experiential marketing and events agency, Buxton designed an impressive exhibit towering 20’ high and 50’ wide. The notable feature of the exhibit was a promotional video screen impressively spanning 16’ wide by 9’ high, as well as 4 touch screen videos meant for product demonstrations taking place throughout the display, 6 meetings spaces, and an enclosed conference room.

“Our team really worked hard to make a statement. ICSC RECon is one of the most important trade shows in our industry and we’ve been attending for two decades. To align with our company’s continued growth and innovation, we reimagined our exhibition to excite employees, overawe our competition, and stand out as a leader in the industry,” said Courtney Hall, Buxton vice president of marketing and culture.

More than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winner.

“The judges were extremely impressed with the quality of entries we received this year. The competition was intense and every organization that has won should be proud,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.
